Nursingjobsuk are delighted to announce that they have once again been successful in their bid to join the NHS Workforce Alliance International Recruitment Framework, after first joining the Framework in 2019.

The Framework exists to help NHS employers find international healthcare staff from overseas countries to fill vacancies. It connects employers with recruiting agencies that have experience in sourcing and vetting international candidates. This allows the NHS to access a larger pool of potential employees with diverse skill sets and cultural backgrounds. It also helps ensure that workers are recruited ethically and legally, with fair treatment and protection of their rights.

International recruitment is vital for the UK healthcare sector for several reasons but primarily due to the shortage of healthcare professionals. The UK is facing a shortage of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers. International recruitment is necessary to fill these gaps in the healthcare workforce.

The NHS Long Term Plan has set out its ambition for the NHS over the next 10 years, identifying ethical and sustainable International Recruitment as a workforce priority.
