What Is the NMC CBT?

The NMC Test of Competence (ToC) Part 1 assesses the knowledge and skills of overseas nurses or those returning to practice. It consists of 115 multiple-choice questions, which must be completed within 3 hours:

• Part A: 15 numeracy questions
• Part B: 100 clinical/theory questions

The free CBT is available at Pearson VUE test centres worldwide. Before the exam begins, a short tutorial explains how the test works. Importantly, there is no negative marking, so every question should be answered.
