What Is the NMC CBT?

The NMC Test of Competence (ToC) Part 1 assesses the knowledge and skills of overseas nurses or those returning to practice. It includes 115 multiple-choice questions completed in 3 hours:

• Part A: 15 numeracy questions
• Part B: 100 clinical/theory questions

The CBT is available at Pearson VUE test centres worldwide. Candidates receive a short tutorial before starting, and there is no negative marking.
