School Nurse

Responsibility for the delivery of all aspects of first aid treatment and sickness care for pupils across the Senior
School, Junior School and Nursery. Ensuring a high quality, professional and efficient service is delivered to
the pupils, whilst working within existing procedures and budgets and complying with appropriate legislation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Complete Risk assessments for children with permanent or temporary disabilities

Complete medical checks for day and overnight trips and prepare first aid,
asthma and anaphylaxis kits and medication including controlled medication

Complete/Review PEEPs, and IHCPs and support any documentation as required

Liaise with outside agencies to support children with complex needs, including
mental health, support in completing referrals to agencies such as CAMHS

New starters: check health questionnaires attend any required meetings with
staff/parents/teachers/support staff

Ensure medical information is recorded on CPOMs

Complete Accident Reports/Head Injury forms and record on ISAMs

Ensure information regarding children with medical conditions/allergies is checked
and information is communicated as required

Administer nonprescription and prescribed medication in line with regulatory guidelines
